April 16, 2014 Updated Apr 16, 2014 at 3:36 PM EDT

Portland, ME (WBNG Binghamton) Wednesday night’s contest between the Binghamton Mets and Portland Sea Dogs has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, May 19th with game one scheduled to start at 5:00 PM.

The postponement marks the fourth of the season for the B-Mets and second straight on the road. Binghamton experienced just one postponement in their first 66 games last season.

The B-Mets (7-4) head back to NYSEG Stadium for their second homestand of the year. They open a three-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday at 6:35 PM. RHP Matt Bowman gets the nod for Binghamton against RHP Scott Copeland.
