(WBNG Binghamton) It appears it'll be one and done for manager Wally Backman and the Binghamton Mets.
Mets GM Sandy Alderson says it's likely Backman will be the manager of the Triple A team in Buffalo.
That comes after last year's manager, and former B-Mets manager Tim Tueffel got promoted to the parent club as the new third base coach.
Former third base coach Chip Hale resigned so he could become the bench coach in Oakland.
In only one season with the B-Mets, Backman had a 65 and 76 record and a 5th place finish in the Eastern League's Eastern Division.
But they team played well the last 2 months of the season and had one of the best records in the league over that stretch.
