(WBNG Binghamton) Two Mets will represent the organization at the futures game in Kansas City.
And both are now members of the Binghamton Mets.
One is infielder Wilmer Flores, who was just promoted to Binghamton this afternoon.
The other is starting pitcher Zack Wheeler.
Wheeler is 6 and 3 with a 1.88 ERA in his first season in Binghamton.
He leads the B-Mets in both wins and strikeouts this season with 73.
MLB.com slotted him 22nd amongst all prospects prior to this season.
He was the centerpiece of a trade that sent Carlos Beltran to San Francisco last season.
The futures game will be held at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday July 8th at 5 pm.
Wheeler will be on the U.S. Team while Flores will play for the World Team in the game.
