Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Zack Wheeler was promoted before Wednesday night's game against Harrisburg.
He was coming off one of his best starts of the season, where he went 6 and 2/3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out a season high 11.
Wheeler says he's excited for the new opportunity and manager Pedro Lopez says he's very deserving.
Wheeler will make his first start on Sunday.
