Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Senators Eric Gryba and Corey Cowick were shaved bald as part of the Face Off Against Cancer presented by Lourdes event Saturday night.

Cowick and generously donated the opportunity for a pair of lucky fans to shave their heads post-game.

All money raised through the raffle will be donated to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.

“Cancer is something that has affected all us in one way or another, whether you are a player, coach or fan. I myself have been directly affected as both my grandparents have passed away because of cancer.” explained Cowick.

“I feel with continued support and donations that one day having cancer won’t be a tragedy, but instead it will be just an obstacle that we overcome. With the raffle to shave our heads, I hope to raise funds to help bring us closer to the end cancer and also to have a little fun with some of the best fans in the American Hockey League!”
