We are joined now by the new head coach of the Binghamton Senators. Just in town is Don Nachbaur and coach first of all welcome to town.
Thanks a lot for having me and it's exciting. It's an exciting time for me and my family to be back in Binghamton. This town is really craving for a winner after missing the playoffs for the last several years. How much do you know about that and how much do you know about the guys that you'll have in your room to try and get back to the playoffs?
Well first, I think the city of Binghamton and its fans are unique, because they are tremendous fans. As a player I hated coming into this rink because of the passion of the fans and you felt it when you played against these guys. I think when we really get down to it. I want to leave a trademark for the guys to achieve this year is when the fans leave the building that they know we put out an effort.
Buzzy, the fans love him here. How did you pick him as the guy to help you out and trying at that playoff spot back? You know, I really like the fact that he knows the players and obviously he knows the league and he knows the city. He's a very knowledgeable guy.
We have the video to prove it, but I don't know if you remember that you and Buzzy had a good flight back in the day. I think the video shows that you might've got the better end of that. You guys remember that?
Well, you know, in one of our conversations, he threw that on me that we have fought. I don't remember the fight honestly, I hear it's on YouTube, but I've yet to check it out. I'm not sure who one.
The tough nosed Binghamton Senators with new coach Nachbaur training camp gets going in just a couple of weeks.
