JOHNSON CITY - The B-Sens are stuck in a four-game losing streak following Saturday night's overtime loss to defending Calder Cup champion Hershey.
Rather than sit and obsess over the losses, the team spent this afternoon painting... For a good cause.
This is the Fourth Annual Paint with the Players workshop hosted by the Magic Paintbrush Project in Johnson City.
Each B-Sen was paired with special needs children.
They did some traditional artwork plus unique activities like shooting paint-covered pucks at a mural.
And best of all, there were lots of laughs and smiles.
"We're very fortunate to be in the position we are and any time you get to help out, definitely helps when you can have a little fun at the same time too," says center Zack Smith.
Rookie winger Erik Condra adds,"I know when I was a little kid looking up to pro athletes or college athletes, it's always something special and I hope they have fun and I think we're having more fun than they're having maybe."
The B-Sens will get back to work Wednesday when they begin a four-game road trip in Rochester.
