Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - The B-Sens hit the ice at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena looking to rebound from a beating in Albany Saturday night and did just that as they went on to double up on the Rochester Americans 4-2.

Rochester struck first at 12:38 of the first period as Clay Wilson snipered a shot through traffic, past B-Sens goaltender Mike Brodeur for his tenth of the season to give the Amerks the 1-0 lead.

Jamie Johnson and Graham Mink assisted.

In the second period of play, Jonathan Cheechoo carried the puck over the blue line, danced around the Rochester defense and buried a shot past Alexander Salak tying the score at 4:42 earning his first goal in a B-Sens uniform.

Rochester’s Michal Repik answered just over a minute later as he one-timed a shot from the left circle past Brodeur stick side, putting the Amerks back ahead by one, 2-1.

Wilson earned the assist for his second point of the night, while Jeff Taffe also added an assist.

The third period was all B-Sens.

Forward Keegan Dansereau, recently recalled from the Elmira Jackals, net his third of the year on the power play at 7:55 to tie the score at two.

Zack Smith and Martin St. Pierre earned the assists.

Smith then set up the game winning goal by defenseman Paul Baier just past the midway point of the period.

The goal was Baier’s first of the year.

Forward Cody Bass would also earn an assist on the goal.

Then with just over a minute remaining, with Salak pulled by Rochester in favor of the extra attacker Ryan Keller added insurance with an empty net goal.

Cheechoo and Hennessy assisted, both earning their second points on the night.
