Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

There's good news and there's bad news....bad news first.
As expected, Ottawa recalled 2 players from Binghamton today.
Goaltender Mike Brodeur and forward Jim O'Brien.
Both are making return trips to the NHL to fill in as injury replacements for the parent club.

And the good news is they have 2 all stars on their roster.
Today the league released the rosters for the upcoming all star game.
Center Corey Locke was named a starter for the game, and for good reason.
He has 51 points in just 37 games, first in the entire league.
He has scored 13 goals and has 38 assists.

This is his 5th career AHL all star selection, and he is the all-time scoring leader in the all star game, with 9 career points.

Bobby Butler is headed to his first AHL all star game, but he has a good reason...this is just his first season.
He was named league rookie of the month for December and has already been called up to the NHL once this year.
In 37 games he has 18 goals, the most of any rookie in the league.
He also has 9 assists.
He is one of 11 rookies to make the all star team.
The game is East vs. West this year and will be played January 31st in Hershey at 7:00.
