The American Hockey League season doesn't start for a few months still, but fans of the Binghamton Senators flocked to the arena to get their tickets for the upcoming season.
It's part of the team's open house that allows fans to choose their seats, go on tours of the locker rooms and luxury boxes and get new Senators merchandise.
While the arena is filling up with spectators, the team is also taking shape.
It's already signed Corey Locke from Hartford.
He was named to the AHL's second all-star team following the season.
Team executive Tom Mitchell says it's still looking for a few more players to help this team back to the playoffs.
A place it hasn't been in 5 seasons.
And expects to hear a few more signings in the near future.
"I'm optimistic. We've got a couple of slots that we need to be filled for sure, at least a couple. A good solid veteran type defense man which I know they've made offers to and haven't come through yet and we've lost some of them. Probably an enforcer and maybe one other defense man," says Senators Executive Vice President Tom Mitchell.
The team still needs to find itself a head coach.
Coach Don Nachbauer resigned from the team in June, citing personal reasons.
