Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Senators finished the preseason with a perfect 3 and 0 record, thanks to Saturday night's 6-3 win over the Albany Devils.
And while there are many new faces on this year's roster, the team is coming together nicely.
The B-Sens will have a week to prepare for the season opener, which is next Saturday night.
While there are things to work on, team chemistry doesn't appear to be one of them.
Players say they feel the team is working together nicely, especially since the team has been together for less than 2 weeks.
One big sign the players have each other's back was seen in the last night's win, when players like Eric Gryba and Mark Borowiecki got into fights to protect their own.
"It's huge, especially for smaller guys and guys that don't fight as much to know that Boro and Gryba did an unbelievable job stepping in for other guys tonight and that goes a long way into guys feeling good and being able to play their game confidently," says defenseman Andre Benoit.
The season opener is next Saturday night at 7:05 pm when the B-Sens host the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins.
