Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Meanwhile expectations for the Binghamton Senators are soaring after the team missed the playoffs last season, just one year after winning the Calder Cup.

New coach Luke Richardson brings experience to this year's team and he feels the B-Sens have a chance to do some great things.

He points to some of the young guys, and newly signed veterans as those who will make a difference and hopefully take the B-Sens back to the playoffs.

"It's obviously here to develop young players but at the same time, you want to create a competitive atmosphere and we want to teach them how to win. You don't want to just teach them how to shoot the puck better, to play better, you want to teach them how to win. You want to create that atmosphere, the players and fans catch that atmosphere of winning and they want more," said Luke Richardson.

Training camp opens in a little more than a month.

Unlike previous years, the B-Sens will hold training camp at the Broome County Veteran's Memorial Arena.
