Wilkes-Barre, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Senators have started off their season with a 4-4 record, ranking them third in the AHL East division. Wednesday, they headed just a little south to take on the fifth ranked 4-5 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
In a scoreless three periods and overtime, the Penguins out shout the Senators 35 to 32, taking this game into a shoot out.
Eight Senators shot in the shoot out, Andre Petersson and Mika Zibanejad were the only ones to score.
It wasn't enough to hold off the Penguins who got the puck past Robin Lehner three times to take the win.
