(WBNG Binghamton) Game one of the playoffs is still a couple of days away, but the B-Sens are busy preparing for a team they didn't see much this year.
The B-Sens faced the Monarchs only twice during the regular season with each team winning on the other's home ice.
The first was January 15th at home, where the Sens allowed two 3rd period goals en route to a 4 to 3 loss.
A week later, the Sens went to Manchester and won a 4 to 2 decision.
Even though there isn't a lot of history between the two, the B-Sens are excited to take on the Monarchs.
"They've probably got some new faces in there. It'll be nice to go in with a different team than one you've played maybe 8 times or 10 times in a year," says Ryan Keller.
"They're a good team. We're a good team. I think they're very well coached. I think you can see it in the way they play and you can see it in the way they play with discipline. Their power play is capable, their penalty killing is capable...goaltending...I mean there aren't many cracks in their armor," says head coach Kurt Kleinendorst.
Game one is Thursday night at 7:00 in Manchester.
Game two will be Friday.
The Sens first home game of the series will be game three, which is Sunday at 5:05 pm.
Tickets for that game are on sale in the B-Sens offices.
