Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The American Hockey League has reached the all-star break.
And while the Binghamton Senators are in last place in their division, they feel really good about the way they've been playing lately.
The B-Sens won their fourth straight game, beating division leading Wilkes-Barre Scranton last night.
Since Christmas, the B-Sens have won 9 of 14 games, 2 came against the top 2 teams in the conference.
Even with the recent roll, players say they're happy to be getting a few days off, to recharge their batteries and get ready for the second half of the season.
"We do have a lot of momentum and it would be nice to keep it going quick but know at the same time it gives guys a chance to regroup and feel confident about themselves on these 4 days and hopefully come in refreshed and just as confident," says defenseman Mark Borowiecki.
"I guess you can take the positives and negatives out of it. I just think it's good to get a break, to take a couple of days off, not think about hockey but I guess we'll see when we get back how it will affect us," says forward David Dziurzynski.
The B-Sens play the next 4 games on the road, starting Friday night in Manchester.
