Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Hockey season doesn't start for a couple of months, but Binghamton Senators fans are excited for it to begin.

And the biggest question for the fans is about this year's roster.

Several players from last year's Calder Cup champions have signed with other teams, or to play overseas.

Executive Vice President Tom Mitchell says while he would have loved to have everyone back from last year, he understands they have the opportunity to advance their careers in other places.

And he adds, the decisions about the roster in Binghamton are not made by him, but by the Ottawa Senators.

"We have some input but our parent club always has the last opportunity, or last decision I guess, the final decision when it comes to players, who goes and who comes. But again, it's not just Binghamton, it's every team in the American league goes through this," Mitchell says.

Mitchell says he's excited about the upcoming season with the return of players like regular season MVP Corey Locke, and Playoff MVP Robin Lehner.

There's also a mix of some draft picks, and veterans.

And Mitchell adds, there's still room on the roster to add a few more veterans to this year's team.
