Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Members of the Binghamton Senators spent the night at the Doubletree in Binghamton Tuesday. It was the first annual "Pucks 4 Paws" Can-Am barbeque.

All proceeds from the dinner benefits the Pucks 4 Paws organization, which supports pets throughout the Southern Tier.

It's just another way for the players to give back.

"I know some of the animals that were involved in the shoot with us earlier in the year have been adopted so far," said Danny New, a B-Sens defenseman. "It just goes to show that what we're doing is actually working."

"The Binghamton Senators have just brought it out, you know, made it public and that's exactly what I needed and what I wanted," said Dr. Alison Beaulieu, owner of the Dickin Memorial Hospital. "I wanted to bring awareness and the community into the needs."

Players were also involved in a photo shoot with animals from the Humane Society earlier this year.
