BINGHAMTON (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Some rivalries are just made to carry on, and that's exactly what will happen in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs when the Binghamton Senators meet the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Wilkes-Barre is not only a division rival, but the team that has eliminated the B-Sens two of the last three times Binghamton has made the playoffs. That includes a sweep in last year's first round.

The B-Sens say this much is clear: these teams don't like each other, and this series won't be a picnic.

"There was a couple of games here that we won with a few more goals than them, but those are going to be few and far between," said head coach Luke Richardson after Binghamton's 4-2 win over Norfolk in the regular season finale.

"In the playoffs, I think it's going to be hard, tight checking and they're going to be a little bit more healthy, a few players back, as well as us, hopefully. It will be a great series, looking forward to it."

"We don't like them, they don't like us," said Buddy Robinson. 'It's always a fun game when we play them, and it will be fun. It's going to be a hard-fought series. I'm expecting a couple of overtime games, probably, and probably go down to the fifth game. You never know. It will be a fun series."
