Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Between Stephane Da Costa, Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Mike Hoffman they bring the B-Sens 70 games of NHL experience. That has turned into production for Binghamton
Da Costa, Pageau and Hoffman accounted for 37 points so far this season, with Da Costa and Pageau only recently being added to the lineup from Ottawa.
They also were a major part of the three straight wins the B-Sens had this past weekend. But coach Luke Richardson says it's another part of their game that continues to make them successful.
Richardson 'Behind the Boards' interview
"I think all three of them are really starting to play both ends of the rink. Like Pageau is naturally a great skater and really uses his body well in the defensive zone. Steph Da Costa has asked for more defensive responsibility and stepped up when he's given that," said Richardson. "It let's us not be afraid to put the offensive guys in there during the end of a period in our d-zone to protect a lead and play the clock."
The players on the other hand enjoy the company of such skilled players.
"They're both good players and they put up points in this league so I'm thankful I get to play with Da Costa, he's a good player," said Hoffman. "cole Schneider is another good winger, so I thought our line played well."
"I mean I think we have a really good skilled team," said Da Costa. "We have a good mix of a hardworking and skilled team. It's always good to have guys who can score like [Pageau] Pager, [Mark Stone] Stoner or Hoffman too."
The B-Sens host Adirondack and Rochester this weekend at the Arena. Binghamton is 0-2 against the Phantoms, while the B-Sens have won both games against the Amerks.
