Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The start of a new hockey season is still a couple of months away, but the excitement is already building at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

The B-Sens hosted their annual open house.

It gives fans the opportunity to take a tour of the locker rooms and get their picture taken with the Calder Cup.

It's also a chance for season ticket holders to come and choose their seats for next season.

And everyone will tell you, the excitement from the Calder Cup Championship hasn't worn off just yet.

"It's been a great year, a great experience building up. I'm not sure anyone expected this. You have to enjoy it. I've been a fan a long long time whether it's the Senators, the Rangers or Icemen, so you don't get these opportunities that often and you have to continue to enjoy this and enjoy it into next year," says Chris Ruf of Chenango Bridge.

"We've had a pretty good bump in season ticket sales and that sort of thing. The interest level is obviously very high and our open house is something we do every year. It always surprises me, every year because we wind up selling more season tickets at this open house than I ever expect," says B-Sens owner Tom Mitchell.

The AHL season starts in October and the full schedule for the 2011 season will be released later this summer.
