Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Senators forward Mike Hoffman has been named to the 2013-14 AHL All-Star First Team.

The all-star teams are voted on by a collection of coaches, players and media members from all 30 AHL teams.

Hoffman, 24, has compiled career highs in goals, assists and total points this season with the B-Sens. In just 51 games played, he has tallied 30 goals and 37 assists for 67 points before being recalled to Binghamton’s National Hockey League affiliate, the Ottawa Senators, on February 23 where he has since remained.

Hoffman joins goaltender Jake Allen of Chicago, Defensemen T.J. Brennan of Toronto and Adam Clendening of Rockford as well as center Travis Morin and right wing Colton Sceviour, both from Texas, on the first team all-stars.

Players named to the AHL Second Team were Grand Rapids’ goaltender Petr Mrazek, defensemen Adam Almquist of Grand Rapids and Brad Hunt of Oklahoma City, left wing Zach Boychuk of Charlotte, center Andy Miele of Portland and right winger Spencer Abbott of Toronto.
