Houston Scores 3 in 3rd Period to Take Game 1

Houston, TX (WBNG Binghamton) Houston scored 3 goals in the 3rd period, including an empty netter late to down the Binghamton Senators 3-1 in game 1 of the 2011 Calder Cup Finals.

Bobby Butler scored in the 2nd period to give the B-Sens a lead, but Jed Ortmeyer netted 2 in the 3rd to give the Aeros the lead late.

They would add an empty net goal to take a 1-0 lead in the best of 7 series.

Game 2 is Saturday night in Houston.

Puck Drop is 8:35 pm.
