Norfolk Sinks B-Sens in OT in Season Finale

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Senators welcomed the Norfolk Admirals to town on Saturday for their 2011-12 season finale. Mark Barberio scored the game winning goal in overtime to secure the 3-2 victory for the Admirals. With the win the Admirals extend their win streak to 27 games.

Mike Hoffman and Matt Puempel tallied goals for the B-Sens. Puempel’s goal was his first as professional.

Despite the outcome of the game, B-Sens starting netminder Mike McKenna drew first star honors as he stopped 46 of 49 shots faced on goal through regulation and overtime.

The B-Sens ended the night 1-for-3 with the man advantage and 3-for-5 on the penalty kill.
