Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) They say all good things must come to an end. And that's true for the Binghamton Senators season after they were swept out of the playoffs.
The B-Sens surrendered 3 goals in the 3rd period in a 3-2 loss to Wilkes Barre/Scranton that ended their season.
And while it was a disappointing end in Binghamton, it's not the end for some of the guys in the locker room.
Some players will be heading to Ottawa to become a part of the Black Aces team.
A team that practices with the starters during a playoff run.
Coach Luke Richardson says he isn't sure who those players will be yet.
Those who may get that call say it would be a great opportunity.
"It's always an honor anytime you get a nod to be with the team. Obviously, it's a little bit of a different situation. You're not 100 percent with the team but you are. You are up just in case. It's important. Its nice to know they give you that nod and they think highly of you," says defenseman Mark Borowiecki.
"It's special to get to go up there and get some experience and be around that atmosphere. The playoff atmosphere. I mean, just very excited for this opportunity. It's my second year going so just very excited. I'm going to take all I can get out of it," says forward David Dziurzynski.
