With the weather warming up and the area's fields drying out, it's time for baseball.
The BU Bearcats play their home opener this weekend against Hartford.
Earlier this week, the team lost on a walk-off home run to Marist.
Meanwhile, the Bearcat golf team took down top honors at the five-team George Mason Intercollegiate in Virginia.
But that's not all, here's more in this week's Bearcat Brief.

It was a rough week for the Bearcats.
The softball team lost their first 3 conference games of the year at Stony Brook, and then were swept in a doubleheader by Siena.
The Bearcats will resume America East play this weekend with a three-game series at Vermont.

The men's lacrosse team had their hands full on Saturday hosting the #20 team in the nation.
The game featured four ties and three lead changes was knotted at 6 in the 3rd quarter before Albany rallied for 3 straight goals and held on to win.
The men face another top challenge travelling to UMBC this weekend.

The women's lacrosse team already found out just how tough the Retrievers can be.
UMBC topped the Bearcats 16-4 on Wednesday, dropping the team to 2-8 on the year.
Binghamton faces another conference opponent this Saturday when the Bearcats host Albany at the BU Sports Complex at 7 p.m.
