The Ottawa Senators lost to Florida again tonight in exhibition play. The final was 2-1.
The hi-lite for B-Sens fans was Jeremy Jablonski mixing it up in a first-period fight.
He's one of several players expected to be back in Binghamton soon.
At a little after 9:00 this morning, new coach Don Nachbauer took to that Arena ice for the first time as head coach of the Binghamton club.
He worked out the players emphasizing the changes he wants to see in style and graded the workout a success.
Nachbaur says, " It was good. It was the first time the ice has been stated on. I thought the guys had great tempo today, and there is lots of enthusiasm with the young guys that have an opportunity to play on our hockey club." Defenseman Paul Baier adds, "Good. It was a good skate. Trying to get some of the rust off, but we were good. It was a good skate.
Obviously, we still have a lot of guys up in Ottawa, and we're waiting for their arrival. But while these guys are here. They're going to get a great opportunity to show what they can do."
Joining Nachabauer and assistant Mike Busniuk was elmira head coach Steve Martinson.
Many of the players on the ice were in Elmira last year, and may end up back with Marty in the East Coast League when Ottawa makes their next round of cuts tomorrow.
