    Albany, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton women's basketball team (10-14, 5-6 AE) battled first-place Albany (20-3, 11-0 AE) the entire game before losing 64-58 in an America East women's basketball game on Monday night at SEFCU Arena.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton men's basketball drew its highest home crowd in seven years and hung with two-time reigning America East champion Albany for much of the game before succumbing 69-56 Monday night at the Events Center.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore guard Imani Watkins scored 17 points, leading Binghamton (10-12, 5-4 AE) to a 54-47 win over Stony Brook (14-8, 6-3 AE) in an America East women's basketball game on Wednesday evening Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center.

  • Orange pulls off comeback win over Virginia Tech

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Syracuse pulled off a 68-60 victory over Virginia Tech in overtime on Tuesday night in the Carrier Dome, despite not leading the first 40 minutes of regulation. A jumper by Michael Gbinije 22 seconds into overtime gave the home team its first lead of the game, as a late offensive burst in the final minutes of overtime lifted the Orange (16-8, 6-5) past the Hokies (12-11, 4-6).

  • BU looking forward to Stony Brook challenge

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The last time the BU men's basketball team faced Stony Brook, it gave up a 17-7 run in the closing minutes, losing to the Seawolves 62 to 52. On February 3, the Bearcats will get another crack at the number one team in the America East.

  • Binghamton takes care of Sacred Heart in wrestling

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton wrestling team hammered Sacred Heart, 38-4, Sunday afternoon. Nine Bearcats won, as Jesse Dellavecchia and Anthony DePrez each tallied pinfalls in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) match at the West Gym.
