Rich Conover is out as head coach of the BU women's basketball team.
Conover has been re-assigned to a yet-to-be determined administrative post within the athletic department.
In 5 seasons as the head coach, conover went 67-78, and were 11-19 last year.
Nicole Scholl, who has been an assistant coach on the BU women's staff for nine seasons, has been promoted to head coach for the 2008-09 season.
Athetic director Joel Thirer said a national search for a new coach will take place after next season.
