VESTAL, N.Y.-- Senior attack Jake Boyce and senior midfielder Duncan Streeten each scored twice, leading Binghamton (2-9, 1-2 AE) to an 8-4 win over Vermont (4-8, 1-2 AE) in an America East Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday evening at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
The win snapped the Bearcats' five-game losing skid.
Boyce scored both of his goals in the opening quarter as the Bearcats quickly raced out to a 4-2 lead.
Streeten also added one of his goals during than span.
Liam Thomas pulled Vermont to within 4-3 with 9:25 left in the first half but senior attack Chris Mulheron answered with a man-up goal four minutes later.
Binghamton reeled off three unanswered goals in the second half, the final by Streeten with 5:49 left to go in the game.
The only Vermont goal in the final 30 minutes was scored by Thomas with 3:09 remaining in regulation.
Binghamton outshot Vermont 33-29 and won nine of the 16 faceoffs.
The Bearcats also held a 25-20 advantage in ground balls.
Senior goalie Larry Kline recorded nine saves as did Vermont freshman goalie Alex Plavner.
Binghamton heads to No. 12 Maryland on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. game.
