On the college diamond, the BU men are poised to capture the regular season title for the third consecutive seasons.
This year it could mean hosting the post season tournament for the first time.
There are a few scenarios to make that happen, the simplist being the Bearcats take 3 of 4 from Vermont this weekend.

Simple being of course, easy to say.
The Vermont baseball program is playing what could be the final games ever.
The program will be cut after this year, and the Catamounts are still fighting for a spot in the playoffs.
So the Bearcats are up against a hungry team this weekend.
" There is a lot on the line and I'm sure Vermont is going to come in with a little extra fire because they don't have a program next year and this could potentially be their last series. They're not going to lay down. They're going to come in here and try and take four from us and were to look to do the same to them.

We're playing good baseball and that's been the goal all along. Try to peak here in late April and early May as opposed to back in March. We feel good about where we are as a team and we feel good about all areas, pitching defense hitting. We are ready to go this weekend."
The series starts on campus tomorrow at noon.
