To the victor go the spoils.
That's how it works in college basketball.
And following the best season in the history of Binghamton University basketball, the Bearcats are rewarding the man in charge.

Today the university extended the contract of head coach Kevin Broadus.
In just his second season, his team captured the America East title and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time..
" It's just a tribute to my staff the players we brought in and the university itself accepting what we've done and the community and the students. Everyone I guess was happy with what we've done so far and hopefully we can keep building on that success."
Terms of the deal were not released.
The extension goes through the 2013-14 season and is in addition to his existing contract.
Broadus was named conference coach of the year last season
