and like the men's team, the women's squad at BU has a few local players on the roster.
What's unusual is that they are all from the same high school, Maine-Endwell.
Stephanie Knopick, Taylor Kucharski and new freshman Jamie Holliday look for some school pride with the Bearcats
" It's definitely a whole new world out here, but it is very comfortable knowing that I have two of my former teammates here, ahead of me, so it feels good. We have some more looking to come, but it feels really good to have my teammates here and have that support. It adds a little extra fun little extra pride. We have a little joke. Whenever we combined in practice for a goal that is the Maine-Endwell connection going on."
The women have been to the conference semi's each of the last 2 years. This season they were picked 5th in the preseason poll.
