Wright Fouls Out, Bearcats Go Wrong in Loss to Boston

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Corey Lowe scored 22 points and Boston University held off Binghamton 63-55 on Thursday night for the
Terriers' fourth straight win.

Greer Wright, the Bearcats' leading scorer, fouled out with 8:44
left and Boston U. ahead 44-43.

Wright, who scored 17 points in 24 minutes, and the Terriers' John Holland were both assessed technical fouls after a loose ball scrum.

Boston U. coach Pat Chambers ran across the court to pull Holland out of the melee.

The Terriers (9-8, 4-1 America East Conference) built a 57-50 lead with 2:24 left. Binghamton (7-12, 2-2) made it 57-53 with 1:28 remaining, then Boston U. hit 6 of 9 free throws to seal the win.

Binghamton used a 17-5 run in the first half to lead 23-18 and 30-26 at halftime.

The Terriers outrebounded the Bearcats 45-37, with Jake O'Brien grabbing 10 rebounds.

O'Brien and Holland each scored 15 points.
