Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The B.C.C. Women's basketball team is getting ready for it's opener on the road against Alfred State.

This year's roster is bigger than last year, in both numbers and height.

But it's lacking experience with only 2 players back from last year's squad.

And while there may be some bumps along the way, players and coaches feel this team could be very successful at the end of the season.

"I look for this team to probably grow as much as any team I've ever coached here in the past 12 years so where we're at now and where we're going to be in February, it's going to be a drastic change," says head coach Mike Huggler.

"We've already seen progress. We already see the team as a whole developing altogether. We had our tournament in Mohawk Valley and from the first game to the last game, you could see improvement already so I'm really looking forward to when we finally get it and we all play together," says sophomore forward Jennifer Celiberti.

The Hornets first two games of the season will be on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday's game will be at 5:30.
