(WBNG Binghamton) The B.C.C. Women's team has a lot to celebrate...a berth in the NJCAA Regional Tournament and the conference player of the year.
Sophomore Forward Anne Buchert was named the Mid State Athletic Conference player of the year.
Buchert averages 18.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
B.C.C. coach Mike Huggler was also named the conference co-coach of the year, sharing the honors with the coach of Corning.
With just 8 players on the roster, Huggler guided the Hornets to a 15 and 10 record.
The women will play in a subregional game this Tuesday at Corning Community College at 6 pm.
It'll be the 3rd time the teams have met in 7 days and 4th time this season.
The Hornets will look to even the season series.
