Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton University men's soccer team is looking to rebound from a disappointing season last year and they have plenty of experience returning to the pitch this season.

The Bearcats return 9 starters and 16 letter winners from last year's team that missed the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Head Coach Paul Marco says he still has a young team age wise, but not necessarily experience wise.

The returning player hope to build on last season and make it back to
the conference tournament.

"Last year wasn't a good year for us but we expect to improve on it and with a lot of guys coming back, pretty much all over the field. We had a good spring and we expect to win some games, play some exciting soccer and see how it goes when it comes to conference time," says senior Jake Keegan.

"This year, I hop to help the team a lot more. Last year, I had a pretty good individual season. This year, I really want to help out gel the team together and have us come together as a team and really just
go as far as we can," says sophomore Tucker Sandercock.

The Bearcats will open the season on Friday when they travel to Colgate to take on the Red Raiders.

Game time is 4:30 pm.
