Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton)
On the soccer field, the BU women have their own player of the week.
Sophomore Conor O'Brien was named co player of the week in the America East after scoring a goal in back to back games.
She has been part of the resurgent Bearcat offense that has BU back in the playoffs.
"The last two games we've really been clicking. It's hard to explain. Just going out and passes are connecting goals are getting finished and everyone in practice been focusing on actually finishing the goal as opposed to just getting a good shot off."
Coach Sarah McClellan says, "We've committed more. On the field and the support of our teammates are energy level and our passion has increased. And I think we're starting to believe in ourselves now, so we feel like we're pretty dangerous team."
Binghamton earned the 5 seed in the conference playoffs.
They visit #4 New Hampshire tomorrow afternoon.
Tonight we'll hear why playing UNH again is so important to this BU team.
