There's a lot of excitement surrounding the Binghamton University women's soccer team.

Last season, it was one game away from a trip to the NCAA tournament.

Coach Sarah McClellan feels this year will be the best season yet for the team.

It will be led by senior captains Amanda Casares and Nicole Montoya.

McClellan says the team has a solid defense again this year.

But she's more excited about the offensive side of the ball.

And expects to score a lot more than the team did last year.

"The attack is what I'm really excited about. We've got a got a lot of flair, we've got a lot of creativity, we've got a lot more players that want to put the ball in the back of the net so I'm excited for that," says head coach Sarah McClellan.

"We're working really hard on our attack this year so we have a lot of depth on the attacking side of the team so I'm really excited to see the improvements from last year," says sophomore Jaime Holliday.

The team was picked to finish 3rd in the conference behind defending champion Boston and Stony Brook.

BU starts it's season August 27th against Fairfield.
