Sunday the basketball team shared the court with the wrestling squad, and while it is different, they are also a frustrated group.
Twice over the past week the held a top ranked team close, only to lose.
Sunday was especially gut wrenching as the result was decided by the 4th tiebreaker, but there was some reward.
Despite going 0-2, their first losses of the season, the Bearcats moved up 4 spots to #20 in the national ranking.
And for the guys on the mat, it's matches like these that get them ready for the end of the season.
" Pat made the schedule like this on purpose. We started kind of easy and now we're building our way up with competition. The better guys we see and hopefully beat means we'll get better seeds at nationals."
" From my perspective, I like the fact that I get to wrestle the top competition throughout the year. Then I get to base myself off when I win and when I lose, you know, where I stand. And I have high expectations come March."
BU is in Virginia for the conference dual meet this weekend.
They'll be back home February 3rd to take on American.
