Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The BU men's soccer team makes history Saturday night. For the first time in program history the Bearcats host a top ten opponent, as seventh ranked UMBC visits the Bearcats Sports Complex.

Binghamton is coming off a last-second loss at Columbia this past week. That loss ended the team's three-game unbeaten streak. Now the Bearcats try to do something they haven't ever done, which is beat a top ten team.

"You see the team is pretty loose right now so you wouldn't think that we were playing a national caliber team tomorrow," said coach Paul Marco on Friday. "I think our guys just focus on themselves. They're a pretty committed group, the team spirit is pretty high so just coming out tomorrow playing, giving everything that you have. Effort and attitude will certainly be factors in the game for us."

"We just got to do what we've been doing, play well," said junior midfielder Ben Nicholson. "As long as we perform to the best of our abilities, then they're going to have to react to us. This is our home turf so we're going to impose ourselves on them."

A win in Saturday's game would push BU over .500 in conference play. The game is set for 6:00 p.m.
