Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the Binghamton University softball team, the postseason begins now. The Bearcats enter the America East tournament as the number three seed, but redemption is on the minds of the players.

Last year BU finished first in the conference and hosted the America East tourney, but that ended in disappointment.

This year the Bearcats finished on a positive note by beating top-seed Stony Brook in their season finale. They say they're headed down to Stony Brook looking for a different result than last year.

"I think they are coming back with some good experience from last year and understand what it's going to take to really go one game at a time," said head coach Michelle Burrell. "I think we kind of got ahead of ourselves last year and we're really going to look to go one game at a time."

"We're very determined to finish it this year," said outfielder Sydney Harbaugh. "It's kind of our motto we've had since the beginning of the season, to finish it. I think we're really close and that we can do it this year."

BU gets second seed Albany in the first game on Thursday. Binghamton was 0-2 against the Great Danes this year.
