Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The BU women's lacrosse team is coming off a 2-12 season and is picked to finish last in the America East this year.

But in the team's second year under coach Stephanie Allen, they say they're going to turn things around.

"Definitely like to be a team that can catch our opponents by surprise," said Allen. "They might not expect us to come out there and be competitive and being winning games but it's certainly something we plan on doing a lot of this year."

"We are out there to kind of prove everyone wrong and show that we think we can be better than what we've been predicted to be," said Erica Foley.

BU opens the season a week from Saturday at home against Howard.
