Bearcats Sweep Weekly America East Honors in Women's Basketball

(WBNG Binghamton) For the second week in a row, members of the Binghamton University Bearcats are recognized by the America East conference.

Junior guard Andrea Holmes was named the conference player of the week.

In 2 games last week, both wins, Holmes averaged 23 and a half points and 4 steals while playing all 80 minutes for the team.

She posted a season high 28 points against Canisius.

Freshman guard Jasbriell Swain was also honored, earning the the rookie of the week.

She averaged a double double, with 15 and a half points and 10 and a half rebounds.

Swain is the first freshman in Binghamton's Division I era to reach double figures in scoring in each of her first three games.

It's the second week in a row Swain has taken home the honor.
