Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

The Cortland women's lacrosse team took home it's 19th straight victory, and earned themselves a second consecutive trip to the lacrosse final four.

The Red Dragons are coming off a hard fought 9 to 7 game against the College of New Jersey in the quarterfinals to advance to the next round.
Last year, the Red Dragons also made it to the national semi-finals, but lost in that round.
This year, their looking to take it one step further to a national championship.
And they think hard fought games like yesterday's can only help their chances.

"I think this will help us set up for the end because the end definitely is going to be closer games and more of a battle and I think this will definitely set us up for the final four."

"Our goal isn't to make it to the final four this year. We have a little loftier goal so maybe this is what we have to do...play harder games earlier. Last year we had some games where we had more separation so I think we're battle tested now. No guarantees but we're hoping it's going to help us."

The Red Dragons will take on Trinity College this Saturday at 4pm in Montclair, New Jersey.
The winner will play in the national title game on Sunday.
