'Cuse draws 3-seed in NCAA Tourney

Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Syracuse men's basketball team drew the No. 3 seed in the South Region and will play Western Michigan in the second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament on Thursday.

The Orange's opening game will follow Ohio St./Dayton at the First Niagara Center and will be broadcast on WBNG Thursday afternoon.

The winner of Syracuse and Western Michigan will meet the winner of Ohio St. and Dayton on Saturday in Buffalo.

Syracuse is coming off a loss to N.C. State in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament last Friday. The Orange has lost five of its last seven games entering the tournament.

It's the 37th overall tournament appearance for SU, and the school's 31st under head coach Jim Boeheim.
