Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton)  Prior to Wednesday there was certainly an argument that Ithaca was home to the most dominant College Athlete of the Year. Now, that is fact, as Big Red wrestler Kyle Dake was named the Sports Illustrated male College Athlete of the Year.

This past year Dake made NCAA history by winning his fourth straight national championship in his fourth different weight class. It was the first time that had ever been done before.

Overall Dake went 137-4 during his four years at Cornell and is in the conversation for greatest collegiate wrestler of all-time.

To top it all off, the Lansing native then made his international wrestling debut last week, beating his Iranian opponent in a wrestling exhibition in New York City. Next, Dake is planning to take aim at the Olympics.
