It turns out a former BU standout will not start the year in the big leagues, but his new organization obviously thinks very highly of him.
The Minnesota Twins traded their second-round draft pick in 2009 to Atlanta to keep Scott Diamond in their organization.
Diamond has been bothered by injuries this spring.
The Twins took him in the rule 5 draft from Atlanta and would have been forced to put him through waivers or send him back to the Braves if Diamond didn't make the 25-man roster.
Instead he will begin the season in triple-A Rochester.
The player the Twins traded away, Billy Bullock, is viewed as one of the top 10 prospects in the Minnesota farm system.
