Former Syracuse point guard Jonny Flynn , who started in all but one game as a rookie for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, had surgery on his left hip today.
Team officials did not offer a timetable for his recovery, but it is rumored to be around 3-4 months, which would keep him out of the first month of the upcoming season.
Last year Flynn averaged 13 and a half points and 4 assists a game
Flynn's left hip started bothering him in the spring and he aggravated it in workouts this summer.
The injury kept him out of the regular-season finale and on the sidelines during summer league play.
