And a Cornell grad, and Spencer Van Etten alum is on his way to the NBA.
This afternoon 7-foot center Jeff Foote was called up by the New Orleans Hornets.
Foote is averaging 15 points and 8 and a half rebounds a game with Springfield of the NBA Developmental league.
He is among the league leaders in double-doubles, and recently played in the league all star game.
Jeff becomes the 4th Cornell grad to reach the NBA, and the first to do so in over 50 years.
The Hornets next game is tomorrow in Denver, with tip-off set for 9:00.
