Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Broome Community College women's team is looking to improve on last year's 16 and 10 record.
And it's going to have to replace a big part of their team.
This year's team has 8 players, 2 with experience in Lauren Guth and Alyssa Ransburg.
Gone from this year's team is mid state athletic conference player of the year Anne Buchert and her 18.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
Players and coaches say they won't try to replace her with just one player, but a total team effort.
The Hornets will open up the 2011-2012 season Tuesday night when they host Alfred State at 6 pm.
The men open their season right after at 8:00 pm.
